About Us
Reel Minds CIC is a community interest company based in South Wales, using fishing as a tool to support mental health, wellbeing, and social connection. We create safe, welcoming spaces where people can learn new skills, spend time outdoors, and connect with others who understand. Through fishing sessions, workshops, and community projects, we help reduce isolation, build confidence, and promote positive wellbeing — one cast at a time.
Adult Sessions
Reel Minds CIC runs fishing sessions for adults aged 18+ at lakes and coastal venues across South Wales. Our sessions are delivered by dedicated volunteers who are qualified angling coaches and fully vetted, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. We provide transport, bait, equipment, and practical fishing skills, along with guidance and knowledge shared at a pace that suits each individual. Sessions are relaxed, supportive and centred around wellbeing, offering positive mental health support for people experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, social isolation, disabilities, and learning difficulties. Through fishing, time in nature and connection with others, we help adults build confidence, routine and a sense of belonging. To take part or find out more, please visit our registration page and sign up for an upcoming session.

Youth Fishing
Analogue Skills in a Digital Age
Reel Minds CIC delivers Alternative Curriculum and Wellbeing Fishing Days for schools, using fishing and the natural environment to support pupil engagement, emotional wellbeing and personal development. Our sessions are ideal for pupils who benefit from learning outside the classroom, including those experiencing anxiety, disengagement, behavioural challenges or additional learning needs. Fishing offers a calm, structured activity that builds focus, patience, confidence and positive relationships, giving pupils space to reset and reconnect — teaching analogue skills in a digital age.
